Title: IBM Quietwiter II and III printer drivers for 1st_Word_Plus
The IBM Quietwriter printers are widely used in commerce and industry and
with their 40 pin thermal heads offer extremely high quality. In addition
they offer a variety of plug_in font cartridges. The drivers supplied are
set up for the widely used Courier fonts. Because "italic" and "light"
fonts are not therefore available with these fonts they have been excluded
from the Quietwriter II driver and are replaced by BOLDFACE and ENHANCED in
the Quietwriter III driver. Experimentation and printing with the 1WP
"italic" and "light" selections should make the substitution clear. If
other font cartridges are installed editing the source files lines &0A to
&11 should allow the user to select the font mix required.
Characters above &A0 - &FF ie 160-255 are made available as the IBM extendedset of graphics and greek characters. These will normally appear on the 1WP printer details screen as the Archimedes characters, by which they can be
selected. It is a good idea to print a set of these for reference.
The two files IBM_Quiet2 and IBM_Quiet3 contain drivers for adding to your
.hex directory. The normal installation procedure as described in the 1WP
manual can then be used to enter them into your .config directory.

Note. The IBM high resolution graphics commands do not conform to the "EPSON"
standard (the printer has 32 "pins") and require a special graphics sequences, not included in the given drivers.
However, I have had useful results on selecting "EPSON FX (240 x 144 dpi)"
from the RISCOS DM printer drivers. This has allowed me to dump nearly A4
